General Information

Oh, where to start... How about at the beginning?? I\'m
a California Girl, but I\'ve lived here in RC for about 12
years. Music: I love music! I love to sing, even though
I am usually too shy to do so in public. I listen to blues
mostly and I also like jazz, old 80s \"new wave\", some
classic rock, alternative, classical... Just please, PLEASE
do not try to convince me there is any musical merit to
Country or Rap. I used to play piano, but pretty rusty now.
I also very much enjoy seeing a good blues band in town. I
would rather have some good music on and spend time in the
kitchen (see below) than sit around watching TV. Food: I
so love to cook and create. I have entirely too many
cookbooks and I love to experiment with cooking and to let
my friends sample the results. I have a few original recipes
that I am CONSTANTLY asked to make and I am happy to oblige.
:) I don\'t get to travel much, so I travel through my
kitchen. Faves included Mexican (California Girl,
remember!), sushi, Indian and African curries, Asian
influences, Italian, and anything with a lot of garlic!
I\'ve even been to Gilroy! I also really enjoy wine tastings
and I have not yet hit the new wine shop in town. Looking
forward to that... Books/Writing: I love to read, I
love to write (I have several blogs - I only share with
those I know and trust, sorry). I\'m seriously thinking
of starting grad school, so I really need someone who is
understanding and supportive of that. I recently bought
a camera (woo!) and I very much enjoy taking photographs,
especially if I\'m on the back of a bike riding through the
hills. I\'ve loved motorcycles since I was a kid. In fact,
both of my parents had bikes when I was little and we went
riding every weekend. I do, indeed, have my license, but I
am a much better passenger than rider. I really NEED to get
out on a bike now and then to clear my head. I also LOVE
going to Rally. It\'s one of the best places ever to watch
people in their natural habitat. :) Tattoos: I have
tattoos, but you have to be pretty special to get to see
them. ;) I love the art form. I\'m an art geek, overall.
